We are trying to negotiate a lower rate for the rooms for AmiWest through the hotel. As some of you know, some of the online travel sites have lower rates than the hotel publishes. That’s one of the reasons that we moved the dates from July to October – lower travel and room rates.
So we’ll have the results posted here as soon as they are complete. Hopefully that will happen in the next few days. So check back often. Leave us a comment to let us know that you’re coming!

Today is Aug 10. I am gathering info on Amiwest 2008 so that I can make reservations. The Aug 2 entry speaks of trying to get lower room rates for Amiwest 2008. Any updates on this? And what about show ticket prices?

Hi Bob,
Thanks so much for your comment. The show ticket prices were underwritten by last year’s sponsor, Individual Computers, and the vendor fees. We are pursuing that course again this year.
Try travelocity.com for cheaper hotel rates. Others said that they had great luck with that. If you do try it, let me know here on the blog so I can confirm that to others.
